TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Town Hall Meetings (townhallmeetings.org) is an independent, privately operated website that gathers publicly posted recordings of local government meetings, such as city councils, county boards and school boards, so anyone can find and watch them. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site.

What we collect

We don't sell personal information.

Advertising and cookies

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense, which helps cover the cost of running it.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law, you'll be asked for your consent before advertising cookies are used.

Town Hall Meetings itself doesn't set cookies or store anything in your browser.

Meeting videos and YouTube

Meeting videos are published by the governments themselves on YouTube and play on this site through YouTube's embedded player. When you play a video, YouTube may collect information and set cookies under its own policies. This site uses YouTube API Services only to read public information about meetings (titles, dates and lengths); it never accesses anyone's YouTube or Google account. By watching videos here you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Fonts

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts and Fontshare, which means your browser contacts those services, as it would for most websites.

Children

The site is a general-audience civic resource and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
